SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College men's tennis team lost its Northeast-10 Conference opener 9-0 to Le Moyne College on Sunday at Skytop Tennis Courts.

Le Moyne (2-1, 1-0 NE-10) won two close doubles matches and got five straight-set wins in singles in the sweep of Saint Anselm (0-3, 0-1 NE-10).
In doubles, Daniel Kmetz and Adam Weinstein were edged 8-6 by Jason Barton and Josh Sagaille at the second spot, while Brian Kavanagh and Alex Pearson went down 8-5 to Steven Procopio and Tyler Underwood by an 8-5 margin at No. 3 doubles.
The lone singles match of the day to go the distance was a marathon match between Kyle Harris and Procopio at No. 5 singles. After losing the first set 6-2, Harris claimed a second-set tiebreaker by a 7-5 score, only to drop a lengthy match tiebreaker 14-12.
Saint Anselm's next match is on Wednesday, Oct. 5 when Salem State comes to South Tennis Courts for a 3 p.m. match.
