MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's tennis team won two of the three doubles matches but Le Moyne won all six singles matches to defeat the Hawks 7-2 in Northeast-10 play on Wednesday afternoon at the Carr Center.

Saint Anselm (2-8, 1-4 NE-10) claimed the matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles play. However, Le Moyne (4-8, 2-4 NE-10) flexed its muscles in singles by winning all six matches, including two three-setters, to earn the win.
Kyle Harris and Eric Howes evened their mark at 2-2 at first doubles this season by picking up a narrow 8-6 win over Tyler Underwood and Jason Barton. In another tightly-contested match, Daniel Kmetz and Adam Weinstein improved to 4-1 at No. 2 doubles by virtue of an 8-5 victory over Stephane Legris and Benjamin Spoor.
After their doubles win, Weinstein and Kmetz each claimed the first set in their respective singles matches but fell in three. Weinstein fell 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3 to Hallam Doney at the second spot, while Kmetz went down 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 to Legris at third singles.
The Dolphins got straight-set wins from Barton, Spoor and Steven Procopio and an 8-5 win from Tyler Underwood to round out the singles matches. The match between Underwood and Kyle Harris at fifth singles was an eight-game pro-set after the team result had already been determined.
Saint Anselm's next match comes at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, April 12 at 2 p.m.
