Argus leads Saint Anselm on Day 1 of Mike Bello Invite

Round One Results

BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College men's golf team shot a 330 in the opening round of the Mike Bello Invitational hosted by Le Moyne College on Sunday afternoon at the Timber Banks Country Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y. The Hawks finished day one in 14th place.

Billy Argus (Canton, Mass.) fired a first round 79 to lead Saint Anselm and finish tied for 39th on the leaderboard. Stephen Hunt (Wilbraham, Mass.) shot an 83 to tie for 66th, while Jack Ball (Duxbury, Mass.) and Nick Carter (South Easton, Mass.) each shot 84's to tie for 70th.

Robbie Cole (Hopkinton, Mass.) rounded out the scoring with an 85 on the day.

Concordia (295) finished the first round in first place, followed by the hosts Le Moyne (296), Bentley (301), and Southern New Hampshire (304). Gannon, Chestnut Hill, and Assumption all tied for fifth with a first round 310.

The second round of the Mike Bello Invitational gets underway on Monday morning at 9 a.m.
