WORCESTER, Mass. – Kyle Harris recorded a straight-set win at fifth singles as the Saint Anselm College men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Assumption on Thursday afternoon at Assumption College Tennis Courts.

Harris won 6-3, 6-3 against Casey Hodor at No. 5 singles for Saint Anselm (2-7, 1-3 NE-10), which saw its two-match winning streak come to an end. Assumption (2-3, 1-1 NE-10) won the other five singles matches in straight sets after sweeping the three doubles matches.
Harris' victory was his third in a row and evened his NE-10 mark at 2-2 this season.
Robert Patenaude and Chris Leighton saw their two-match winning streak halted with an 8-5 setback at third doubles to Hodor and Tom Knight. The Greyhounds picked up 8-4 and 8-2 wins at the top two doubles spots, respectively.
Assumption dropped no more than six games in its five singles victories on the afternoon.
Saint Anselm is off until hosting Le Moyne on Wednesday, April 6 at 3 p.m.
