WORCESTER, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's basketball team picked up their fourth-straight win as they cruised to a 105-62 victory over Assumption College on Tuesday night in Northeast-10 Conference action at Laska Gymnasium in Worcester, Mass.

Saint Anselm improves to 4-2 overall and 4-2 in the NE10, while Assumption falls to 2-6 and 2-4 in league games. The Hawks travel to NE10 preseason-favorite Franklin Pierce University on Saturday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. game.
Harrison Taggart posted a game-high 23 points, knocking down 8-of-12 shots including 6-of-8 three-pointers, to go with seven rebounds and four assists. Tim Guers posted a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Cody Ball added 14 points and Taylor Fortin scored 13 points to go with seven assists. Chris Braley notched eight points and seven rebounds in the win.
The Greyhounds were led by 15 points and seven rebounds from Damien Rance, while Justin Tuckson, Branislav Vujadinovic and Declan Soukup scored eight points apiece.
Assumption opened the game taking a 5-2 lead and Saint Anselm answered with a 7-0 run as Tim Guers sandwiched layups around a Cody Ball three-pointer to make it a 9-5 game with 15:08 to play in the first half. Damien Rance ended the run by converting a three-point play, but the Hawks scored seven more points as Harrison Taggart rolled in a three-pointer that forced an Assumption timeout with the Hawks on top 16-8 and 13:40 to play in the half.
Out of the timeout, Taggart connected on another three-pointer before Taylor Fortin went 1-for-2 at the line and Grant Mackay scored inside on back-to-back possessions to cap a 22-3 run by the Hawks that put them in front 24-8 with 11:35 to play in the opening period. Taggart extended it to a 30-9 lead with two more threes, and Assumption was forced to burn another timeout.
The Hawks ended the half outscoring Assumption 24-13 to take a 54-22 lead into the break. Saint Anselm shot a blistering 67.6% (21-of-31) from the floor in the first half, including 9-of-14 from beyond the arc.
The second half was all Saint Anselm as the Hawks built leads in excess of 43 points in cruising to the 105-62 victory over the Greyhounds. Freshmen Cole Gill, Josh Hyon, David Dizazzo and Pat Lazor all made their Saint Anselm debuts in the second half, combining for 10 points. Austin Nydegger knocked down both of his three-point attempts, with Efthim Butka and Brenden Vessichio also adding baskets.
Saint Anselm's season-high 105 points came on 60.3% (38-of-63) shooting, and the Hawks buried 15-of-28 (53.6%) of their threes, while converting 73.7% (14-of-19) of their free throws. Assumption shot 24-of-69 (34.8%) from the floor, 6-of-16 (37.5%) from three, and 8-of-16 (50%) from the charity stripe.
The Hawks dominated the glass, outrebounding the Greyhounds 49-20, but committed 12 turnovers to only 10 for Assumption. Saint Anselm converted the 10 Assumption turnovers into 18 points, and also held a 40-26 edge in points in the paint.
