The Hawks carried the momentum into the second half as a pair of free throws from Johnson made it a 36-21 game with 6:14 to play. Saint Anselm sealed the game with a 12-2 run to open the fourth quarter and take a commanding 56-29 lead. The two teams traded baskets throughout the period, but the Hawk lead only dropped to 20 in the final two minutes of play with Sierra Schrader scoring the final basket of the game for the Panthers to give it the final score of 62-42.
The Hawks kick off a three game road trip on Saturday afternoon when they travel to New Haven for a 3:30 p.m. matchup with the Chargers. Saint Anselm will be looking for a little revenge as New Haven defeated the Hawks 65-40 back on December 31st earlier this season.
