HOW IT HAPPENED
• Saint Anselm jumped out to an 8-3 lead on a handful of aces, kills and Pace errors. The Hawks would jump to their largest lead at 24-13 off an Oxley putaway, but three straight Setter points before a Teets kill would seal a nine-point win in set one.
• An Oxley kill highlighted a 6-2 run for the Hawks before Pace responded with a run of its own to take the lead in set two, 16-15. Three straight Lowery kills retook the lead Saint Anselm would never give up, running off seven of the final 10 points culminated by a kill from freshman Kate Peters (Prescott, Ariz.).
• The two teams battled through much of the third set, with Saint Anselm clinging to a slim lead at 18-17. Finally, kills from freshman Julia Keeler (Chicago, Ill.), Oxley, Williams and Lowery handed the Hawks match point. Finally, a Gladwill service ace capped of a four-point run as Saint Anselm earned the sweep.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

• Seven different Hawks recorded an ace, led by two from Chrisom, Hays and sophomore Amanda Bickford (Salem, N.H.).

• Saint Anselm finishes out its September schedule with a 6-5 record overall.
