- Senior Raquel Johnson (Inglewood, Calif.) posted 15 points (5-10 FG, 5-6 FT) and nine boards.
For the foes…

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Two straight baskets from Vonleh triggered a 6-0 run to start the game for Saint Anselm, but a 7-0 counter-run put Stonehill on top nearly three-and-a-half minutes into the contest. The back-and-forth continued as the Hawks scored five straight to grab a 12-7 lead with 4:43 left to play in the opening quarter. Stonehill would make another push and slice its deficit to 15-14 at the end of one.
- A 3-pointer from junior Aliyah Smith (Medford, N.Y.) to begin the second quarter sparked a 7-0 surge that stretched the Saint Anselm lead to 22-14 at the 7:13 mark. The Hawks would carry a 31-23 advantage into the halftime break.
- A pair of treys from sophomore Ali Glennon (Bedford, N.H.) near the beginning of the third quarter helped the Hawks nudge their lead to an even 10 at 39-29 with 6:09 remaining. The lead was still 10 later in the frame when Martin closed the scoring with a 3-pointer that made it 46-39 at the end of the stanza.
- Stonehill would get as close as five just 22 seconds into the final quarter, but Saint Anselm grabbed a commanding lead with a 13-4 rush that featured nine points from Andrews and broke the game open at 59-45 with 5:12 left. The Skyhawks would close the game on a 7-1 run, but it was obviously too little and too late.
