WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore Katy Teets (Dix Hills, N.Y.) ripped a match-high 16 kills on an impressive .387 hitting clip and sophomore Danielle Isbell (Poway, Calif.) saved a match-high 11 digs, but the Saint Anselm College volleyball team dropped its second straight Northeast-10 Conference sweep Saturday afternoon to Assumption College, 25-22, 25-17, 25-21.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Teets recorded double-digit kill tally for the 12th time this season and sixth time in a three-set match. She also added seven digs and a pair of service aces on the afternoon. Her 16 kills rank third-best in program history for a single, three-set match.
• Sophomore Amanda Bickford (Salem, N.H.) added five kills while senior Lauren Oxley (Bristow, Va.) added four.
• Freshman Jewel Hays (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) dished out 22 assists.
• Isbell posted her fifth straight double-digit dig outing, also adding a service ace for the Hawks.
For the Greyhounds…
• Tara Reilly led the 'Hounds with 11 kills on a blistering .526 hitting percentage while Julia Goyette added an errorless seven kills on .538 hitting and Kiki Romanik dished out a match-high 29 assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• After playing even for much of the first set, Assumption used a late run to take the opening frame, 25-22.
• The Greyhounds jumped out to an earl 5-1 lead and held off a Saint Anselm fury to tie the second set at 8-8 by responding with a 9-3 run and never look back, taking the second set 25-17.
• Saint Anselm again fell behind early in the third set before roaring back to pull within one at 19-18 off a pair of stuff blocks from Oxley, Bickford, freshman Sarah Lowery (Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore Amanda Williams (North Andover, Mass.). Assumption pushed it back out to a three-point lead off a Goyette kill and a Hawk hitting error, holding off the Hawks to pick up the clean sweep.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
• Assumption outhit the Hawks .227 to .080—the second straight match the Hawks have hit below .100—but only tallied two more total kills on the afternoon (34-32).
• Defensively, Assumption held a slight edge in digs, 38-34, and blocks 4-3.
NOTES
• Saint Anselm falls to 24-18 all-time against Assumption and 12-11 against the Greyhounds in NE-10 play.
• The Hawks' 34 digs were also its fewest since a tallying 31 in a dominating sweep over Bowie in early September.

• Saint Anselm will look to get back on track with a pair of home games next week, hosting Merrimack College Tuesday in a 7 p.m. matchup before welcoming Adelphi University in the home finale at 1 p.m. Saturday.
