Men's Tennis Drops Two at Adelphi, Pace

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Adelphi University on Saturday, before falling, 6-3, at Pace University on Sunday.

The Hawks are now 1-7 overall, as well as in the Northeast-10. Adelphi, which is ranked 10th in the East region, improves to 5-9, 3-2 NE-10, and Pace betters its record to 3-6, 3-4 NE-10.

Saint Anselm won both of its points against Adelphi by default.

At Pace, the Hawks picked up all three points in singles play. Sophomore Michael Hanna (Southborough, Mass.) defeated Khari Linton in No. 4 singles, 6-3, 2-6, 10-6. Junior Liam Concannon (Boston, Mass.) blanked Vinnie Birkenmeyer, 8-0, in No. 5 singles and freshman Kevin Greene (Londonderry, N.H.) won his second career match, 8-4, against Matt Schaefer in No. 6 singles.

Saint Anselm returns to action Friday, April 8 when it plays host to Franklin Pierce University at 3:30 p.m.
