Saint Anselm and Babson skate to a 3-3 OT Tie

Saint Anselm and Babson skate to a 3-3 OT tie at Babson

Babson Park, MA (February 5)  Senior Coleman Noonan (Norfolk, MA) scored the first Saint Anselm goal at 6:18 in the second period with an assist from Tucker Mullin (Andover, MA).  Mullin scored the second goal with an assist from freshman Joe Tabano (Glastonbury, CT) at 6:53 in the second period.

The third period was hard fought throughout and at 19:35, Timothy King (Weymouth, MA) tied the game with assists from Paul Snell (Groton, MA) and Ryan Holly (Owings MD) to take it to OT.

The 5 minute OT period went scoreless and the Hawks come away with a 3-3 tie, unlike last year's OT contest with Babson where Babson scored the winning goal 9 seconds into the overtime period. The Hawks were not about to let that happen again this year.

Robert Kang (Glen Rock, NJ) was in net and had 25 saves for the game.

The game was the first ever "Just Cure Paralysis" to benefit the Thomas E Smith Fight to Cure Paralysis Foundation. The Foundation was initiated by Saint Anselm player, Tucker Mullin, and proceeds from the game will be donated to the Foundation.

The Hawks are now 9-6-3 overall and 7-6-2 in the Conference.  The Hawks return to Sullivan Arena for back to back games Feb. 11 against Hamilton and Feb. 12 against Amherst. Both are ECAC East Conference games.
