Saint Anselm Takes Charge Against Wesleyan

Saint Anselm Men's Hockey Controls Wesleyan 6-2

The first strike of the game came from Wesleyan in the first period at 9:59 by Nik Tasiopoulos (Norwell, MA)  assisted by Keith Buehler (Skaneateles, NY). Saint Anselm's first strike came at 18:35 on a power play by Joe Tabano (Glastonbury, CT) assisted by Paul Snell (Groton, MA). Saint A's came right back at 19:51 with a strike from Coleman Noonan (Norfolk, MA) assisted by Timothy King (Weymouth, MA) and Ryan Holly (Owings, MD). Saint Anselm led with 11 shots in the first period to Wesleyan's 7.

The second period was scoreless. Wesleyan took 16 shots, while Saint Anselm took 11. Both teams had power play opportunities, but did not capitalize.

Saint Anselm started the third period with a strike from Ryan Butler (Arlington, MA) assisted by Paul Snell.  Wesleyan countered at 14:52 with a goal by Keith Buehler assisted by Nik Tasiopoulos and Geoff Mucha. Saint Anselm countered with an unassisted goal by Timothy King at 8:20 followed by a goal from Joe Tabano assisted by Alex Pascal (Blue Bell, PA) and Ryan Clark (Wadsworth, OH) and Steve Mollo, assisted by Greg Crovo and Nick Wheeler.

Saint Anselm outshot Wesleyan 48 -31, and is now 8-6-1.

The men are on the road Feb. 4, 5 and 8, returning to Sullivan Arena for double headers on Feb. 11 and 12 against Hamilton and Amherst.
