Rochester, N.H. – In their only home
match of the year, the Saint Anselm Hawks golf team played host in
the Saint Anselm Fall Classic at the Oaks Golf Course in Rochester,
N.H. The University of New Hampshire White and Blue Teams, as well
as Assumption College joined the Hawks in the tournament. The Hawks
finished in third place with a combined 344 team score.
Colin Barnea of the UNH's White Team led the Wildcats to first
place on his score of 78. UNH shot a team combined 329 en-route to
their win. UNH's Blue team shot a 342 for second place, while
Assumption College's 353 placed them fourth overall in the
tournament.
For the Hawks, Don Norris (North Scituate,
R.I.) and Matt Santello (Barrington,
R.I.) each shot an 85 to lead the Hawks on the day.
Freshman Tim Rattigan (Reading, Mass.) scored an
86 for the Hawks, while John Penny
(Shelton, Conn.) posted a score of 88.
Mike Mottola (Methuen, Mass.) shot a 91.
The Hawks will take to the course again on October
3rd at the Northeast-10 Championship at Le Moyne.
