Endicott, N.Y. (October 3rd) -- The Saint
Anselm Hawks golf team traveled to the Northeast-10 Conference
Championship hosted by Le Moyne College at En Joie Golf Course this
afternoon. After the first 18 holes, the Hawks are in eighth place
after shooting a 321. Adelphi University is currently in first
place after shooting a 298, which is 11 strokes better than second
place UMass Lowell's 309.
Saint Anselm was led this afternoon by Brian Foley
(Worcester, Mass.) who shot a six over 78. His score
placed him tied for 15th place overall out of 60 players. Freshman
Nicholas
Maccario (Bradford, Mass.) and sophomore Tyler Fay
(Barrington, R.I.) each shot an eight over 80, which
places them tied for 26th place overall. Joe Fitzsimmons'
(Marshfield, Mass.) 11 over 83 landed him tied for 39th
place, while Mike Mottola
(Methuen, Mass.) shot a 13 over 85 placing him 48th
overall.
The tournament concludes tomorrow back at En Joie Golf Course.
The tournament resumes tomorrow with the final round of play.
