Endicott, N.Y. (October 4th) -- The Saint
Anselm Hawks played their final 18 holes of the Northeast-10
Conference Championship this afternoon. The team shot a 332 in the
second round, and 653 for the tournament, landing them in 9th
place. The tournament, which was hosted by Le Moyne College at En
Joie Golf Course, was won by the Adelphi University Panthers, who
shot a two-day score of 607. The tournament was won individually by
Garrett Beyor (Monson, Mass.) of American
International who shot a second-round 70 giving him a combined
score of 144 and even par.
Saint Anselm was led this afternoon by Brian Foley
(Worcester, Mass.), who shot a second-round six-over 78.
His two-day score of 156 placed him tied for 17th place overall out
of all 60 competitors. Freshman Nick
Maccario (Bradford, Mass.) shot a
second-round 81, placing him tied for 34th overall with a 161
combined score. Sophomore Tyler Fay's
(Barrington, R.I.) 85 on day two was good
for 38th overall with a two-day score of 165. Joseph Fitzsimmons' (Marshfield, Mass.) 16-over 88 in round two
landed him tied for 49th place with a total of 171. Senior

Mottola (Methuen, Mass.) shot a
combined 174, placing him in 54th overall.
Saint Anselm hits the links again on Sunday, October 10th at the
SNHU Invitational at the Country Club of New Hampshire. Round two
begins on Monday, October 11th.
