Manchester, N.H. – The Saint Anselm
women's soccer team played Assumption College to a 3-2 overtime win
this afternoon. The contest was a tale of two halves in a
back-and-forth game. The win gives Saint Anselm its first win of
the season, improving its record to 1-2 (1-0, Northeast-10). The
loss drops the Greyhounds record to 1-2-1 overall (1-1,

off a corner kick. The half ended 2-2 and the Hawks played their
first overtime game of the young campaign.

game-winning goal in the 98th minute. The dramatic goal
was her second of the game and third of the season for the
Hawks.
In net for the Hawks, Jackie Cooney
(Braintree, Mass.) made an impressive 10 stops over the
games duration, including eight in the second half.
