New Haven, Conn. (November 6th) -- Playing their final match of the 2010 season this afternoon, the Saint Anselm volleyball team fell to Southern Connecticut this afternoon, despite a match-high 15 kills by junior Charlotte Tencza (Greenfield, Mass.).
The scores of the sets were 25-12, 25-18, and 31-29.
Southern Connecticut showed a balanced offensive threat as seven of their 10 players who saw time recorded kills, five of whom scored in the overtime-third set.
In the match for the Hawks, Tencza tallied 15 kills and 12 digs. Kyla Gustavson (Nashua, N.H.) totaled nine kills and digs, while Samantha Elliott (Cumberland, R.I.) had eight kills. Rachel Flaherty (Cold Spring, N.Y.) had 28 assists and seven digs.
In her final match in a Hawk uniform, Kelly Rudolph (Winter Park, Fla.) had five digs and two service aces.
The Hawks finish their season 3-17 overall, and 2-13 in the Northeast-10.
