Manchester, N.H. (November 5) -- Led by four players in double figures, the Saint Anselm men's basketball turned a 41-38 halftime lead into a 27-point lead at one point in the second, en route to a 94-72 victory over Bishop's University in an exhibition game on Friday night.
In the first half, the Hawks struggled to get the offense going and trailed by an early 8-1 margin following a three-pointer by Oraine Green just 2:30 into the game. After halftime, the Gaiters tied the game at 43-43, but that was the final tie of the contest as an 18-5 run over the next 4:16 made it a 61-48 Hawk lead with 14:08 on the clock. The lead got to as many as 27 points with seven minutes left after a three from senior Pat Luptowski (Keene, N.H.) for the 80-53 advantage. The Hawks never let the visitors get back to within 20 points, while also knocking down 17 of 21 free throw attempts in the second half.
Baudinet led the team with 25 points in 26 minutes of play, while freshman Allen Harris (Roslindale, Mass.) finished with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and five steals in 27 minutes.
