North Sutton, N.H. (October 11th) - - The Saint
Anselm Hawks golf team played in the second and final round of the
SNHU Invitational this afternoon. Led by Tyler Fay's
(Barrington, R.I.) tournament best score of even-par 72,
the Hawks improved their team score from round one by nine strokes.
Saint Anselm finished in sixth place, shooting a 645.
Assumption College won the tournament, shooting a 315 on day
two, with a 631 overall score. B.J. Powers
(Southbury, Conn.) of Franklin Pierce won
individually, shooting a nine-over 153 after both rounds.
For the Hawks, Fay's two-day score of 154 tied
him for third place overall. Joseph
Fitzsimmons (Marshfield, Mass.) shot second round 81
for a total score of 162, placing him tied for 15th. Emilio
Bardini (Salem, Mass.) improved five strokes from
round one yesterday, as he shot an 81 in the second round. His
score of 167 placed him tied for 28th. Timothy
Rattigan (Reading, Mass.) shot a combine score of 165,
tied fro 23rd place.
The Hawks will hit the links again on October 17th at Assumption
College.
