Manchester, N.H. (September 26) -- On Saturday
afternoon, the Saint Anselm field hockey team dropped a 4-0 final
to visiting Adelphi University in Northeast-10 Conference play. The
Hawks are now 1-9 overall and 0-3 in the league.
Julianne Gerbino tallied a pair of unassisted
first-half goals as the Panthers built to a 3-0 lead in the period.
Lucia Vigliotti got the start in net for Adelphi
and made one save for the win. Megan Sullivan (Braintree,
Mass.) made her first start in net for the Hawks, turning
aside five shots in the defeat.
Saint Anselm is back in action on Wednesday, September 30th as
the team hosts Bentley for a 4 p.m. start.
