Manchester, N.H. (September 16) -- Tia
Levins (Manchester, Maine) scored twice for visiting
Franklin Pierce to lead the Ravens to a 3-1 win over Saint Anselm
on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference field hockey action.
Levins scored her first goal of the season at the 19:05 mark,
assisted by Jordan Baillargeon (Westfield, Mass.),
before adding a second at the 48:07 mark. Stephanie
Chaisson (Methuen, Mass.) cut the lead in half though just
29 seconds later with her first goal of the season, assisted by
Karrie Muma (North Falmouth, Mass.). Just over one
minute later however, Danielle Dolan (West Brookfield,
Mass.) scored an unassisted tally to account for the 3-1
final score.
Lindsay MacDonald (Dedham, Mass.) made eight
saves in the defeat, while Brittany Nyzio (Attleboro,
Mass.) turned aside two shots in the win.
The Hawks are back in action on Saturday, September 19th as the
team travels to No. 3 ranked UMass Lowell for a 1 p.m. start.
