Hawks Fall To No. 1 Le Moyne in 16-2 Final

Syracuse, N.Y.  (May 1, 2009) -- The Saint Anselm men's lacrosse team dropped a 16-2 final to No. 1 ranked Le Moyne College in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Tournament on Friday afternoon. The appearance in the league semifinals is the program's first in six seasons.

Senior Chris Murphy (Winchester, Mass.) scored the first goal for the Hawks, along with Ryan Henry (Norwood, Mass.) late in the game for the 16-2 final.

Sophomore goalie Dan Flynn (Wakefield, Mass.) made 11 saves in just over 50 minutes of play to take the loss for the Hawks.

Saint Anselm ends the season at 8-7 overall and ended up in the fifth spot in the Northeast-10 Conference standings.
