(Chuluota,
Fla.) registered two goals and
one assist each Saturday afternoon as Saint Anselm College defeated
Plymouth State University, 9-0, in an ECAC Women's East Conference
ice hockey game at Waterville Valley Arena.
The Hawks rebounded from a 0-0 tie at Southern Maine on Friday
night with a nine-goal outburst against the Panthers. Saint
Anselm out-shot the home team by a whopping 68-6 count, and tallied
three power play goals. The Hawks are now 14-5-2 overall and
11-4-1 in the ECAC East, while PSU remains winless after 18 games.
Senior Bianca DeSantis
(Georgetown,
Maine) added a goal and three
assists for the winners, while classmate Kelsey Johnson
(Byfield,
Mass.) and freshman Liz
Burg (Minneapolis,
Minn.) also scored in the
victory. Freshman Molly Corl
(Danvers,
Mass.) collected four assists.
Saint Anselm freshman goalie Amy Zappen
(Huntington Beach,
Calif.) needed to make just six
saves to post her third shutout. Panther senior Lindsay
DeLorie (Holliston,
Mass.), who leads the nation in
saves, made 59 stops for PSU, her second highest total in a game
this season.
Saint Anselm returns to the ice, Friday, February 13th, when
they will host Manhattanville at 4 p.m. at Sullivan Arena.
