Gorham, Maine (February 6)-The Saint Anselm
College women's ice hockey team skated to a 0-0 tie against ECAC
East rival University of Southern Maine Friday afternoon. The tie
moves the Hawks to 13-5-2 overall while the Huskies move to 10-6-4
on the campaign.
In the game the Hawks out-shot the Huskies 31-19 and 12-4 in the
third period, but Southern Maine goalie Kristen Gresko
(Phoenix, Arizona) and Saint Anselm netminder
Carley Berry (Danvers, Mass.) kept the game
scoreless.
With the tie the Hawks remain three points ahead of the Huskies
in Division C of the ECAC East. Saint Anselm goes into tomorrow
with 24 points and an 11-4-2 record, while Southern Maine is in
second with 21 points and a 9-3-3 conference record.
The Hawks return to action, tomorrow, February 7th, as they will
travel to Plymouth State College for a 2 p.m. start.
