Manchester, N.H. (April 6) -- The Saint Anselm
women's tennis team improved to 4-4 overall and in Northeast-10
play with a 9-0 shutout of Franklin Pierce on Sunday afternoon.
Junior Laura Nason (Shelton, Conn.) led the way
with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and an 8-1 win at No. 1
doubles while paired with classmate McAul Lindermuth
(Pepperell, Mass.).
The match was also the final regular-season home match for Saint
Anselm seniors Jessie Brennan (Cheshire, Conn.)
and Kelly Collins (Auburn, Mass.). Picking up
their first collegiate victories were Kandi Winchenbach
(Boothbay, Maine) at No. 3 doubles and Molly
Gaughan (Scituate, Mass.) and No. 6 singles.
