Manchester, N.H. (November 8) - The Saint
Anselm College volleyball team dropped its final match of the
season 3-0 to the University of New Haven Saturday afternoon at
Stoutenburgh Gymnasium. The loss finishes the Hawks with a 3-19
record overall, and 0-14 in NE-10 play.
New Haven was led by outside hitter Rhe-Ann
Niles' 12 kills on 14 attempts to hit .857 for the match.
Setter Yael Rosner put up 33 assists, while libero
Katrina Ali led the way with six digs. The win
propels the Chargers into the NE-10 Tournament as the top seed.
Saint Anselm was led by freshmen outside hitter
Charlotte Tencza
(Greenfield,
Mass.), with her eight kill
performance. Freshmen setter Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring,
N.Y.) mounted 19 assists, while
sophomore libero Kelly Rudolph (Winter
Park,
Fla.) had a match-high nine digs.
The match was the final of Samantha Regan's
(Danville,
N.H.) and Elizabeth
Lonergan's (S. Dennis,
Mass.) career. Regan finished
with 980 digs in her career, while Lonergan finished with almost
500 digs and 200 kills.
