Manchester, N.H. (September 25) -- On Tuesday
afternoon in the season-opening match, the Saint Anselm women's
tennis team fell to visiting Bentley by an 8-1 final to fall to 0-1
overall and in league play.
Junior co-captain Laura Nason (Shelton, Conn.),
an All-Conference selection last season, picked up the win for the
Hawks at No. 1 singles. She defeated Bentley's Heather
Haggerty (Hanover, Mass.) by a 6-4, 6-4 final.
Saint Anselm is back in action on Sunday, October 7th when the
team hosts Bryant University in a Northeast-10 Conference
match beginning at 11 a.m. in Manchester.
