Colchester, Vt. (September 18) -- The Saint
Anselm field hockey team dropped a 10-1 final to Saint Michael's on
Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action.
Scoring the lone goal for Saint Anselm was sophomore
Maddie Cantarow (Norwood, Mass.) at 27:08 of the
first half. The Purple Knights tallied five goals in each half for
the win. Andrea Slaven led Saint Michael's with
four goals and an assist in the victory.
Sophomore Riley Haddock (Falmouth, Maine) made
12 saves for the Hawks in the loss. Jordan
Smalling and Meghan Mowles combined for
six saves in the win for Saint Michael's.
With the loss, the Hawks fall to 1-5 overall and in
Northeast-10 play. Saint Anselm is back in action on Thursday,
September 20th as the team hosts Merrimack for a 4 p.m. start.
