Sagemarie George was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance & Team Logistics in July 2025. She joined the Hawks in 2017 and was soon after promoted to a position as NCAA Compliance Coordinator, prior to being appointed to her current role.

George oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of the athletic department's comprehensive compliance program in adherence with NCAA Division II, the Northeast 10 Conference (NE10), and the New England Women’s Hockey Alliance (NEWHA), and the East Coast Conference (ECC) bylaws and regulations. She represents Saint Anselm on the NE10's Compliance Coordinators and Sport Administration Councils.

She co-chairs the College’s Athletics & NCAA Compliance Committee and collaborates with both Faculty Athletic Representatives to strengthen the academic experience for more than 650 student-athletes.
 
George works closely with the Enrollment Management and Financial Aid Offices to oversee athletic scholarship budgets and recruitment. She also monitors student-athlete eligibility in conjunction with the Academic Dean’s and Registrar’s office.

She serves as primary sport administrator for the softball, volleyball, and women’s golf programs, and also coordinates team transportation logistics for all 23 varsity sports.

George attended the NCAA Division II APPLE Training Institute in 2024 as the institution’s lead staff member. The training institute serves as an educational leader in national substance misuse prevention and health promotion for student-athletes.
 
Beginning with the 2021-22 academic year, George also assumed expanded duties for the College with Title IX related matters.

A 2016 graduate of the University of New Haven, George earned a Bachelor of Science in business management with a concentration in management of sport studies.
 
George is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Southern New Hampshire University and resides in Manchester, N.H. with her husband, Luke.
