Saint Anselm College

Neil Duval joined the Saint Anselm College athletic department in August 2003 and is in his 23rd season at Saint Anselm in 2025-26.

Duval was promoted to Deputy Director of Athletics for Internal Relations in June 2025, following previous roles as Associate Director of Athletics and Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Performance and Operations. Over the course of his tenure with the Hawks, he has also served as Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Sports Medicine.

Duval oversees the training room staff in his new role, but no longer on a day-to-day basis, and instead focuses on administrative duties, including facilities, scheduling and events management. Duval also supervises the varsity strength & conditioning center and serves as a sport supervisor for several programs.

Duval is a certified athletic trainer (ATC) through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and is a certified performance enhancement specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Eastern Athletic Trainers Association and the New Hampshire Athletic Trainers Association.

Duval previously served as an athletic trainer for the USA Women's Ice Hockey New England Development Camp. Players from this camp are among those selected for the USA National Select Teams.

A New Hampshire native, Duval graduated from Plymouth State University in 1998 with a degree in physical education and special options in athletic training and fitness & rehabilitation. He then returned to Plymouth State to pursue his Master’s degree in athletic training. Duval returned to his alma mater in 2002 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, where he supervised and advised students, in addition to other duties.

Prior to his stint at Plymouth State, Duval was the Clinical Athletic Training Coordinator at Performance Rehab, Inc. in Nashua, N.H., and was also the Head Athletic Trainer at Bishop Guertin High School.

Duval has sat on the executive board of the New Hampshire Athletic Trainers Association for the last 10 years. He and his family currently reside in Hopkinton, N.H.
