Matt Fortin was promoted to Director of Operations, Recreation Sports & Facilities at Saint Anselm in August 2025 after serving as  its Game Management, Recreation & Intramurals Coordinator since August 2021.

Fortin is a 2017 graduate from Seton Hall with a degree in Business Administration. He first came to the Hilltop in September 2017 as an Assistant Baseball Coach and Game Management Coordinator. 

At Seton Hall, Fortin managed the athletics facilities while overseeing event operations, coordinating travel and practice times with visiting teams and planning and coordinating all outside events, athletic contests, concerts, camps and a variety of community, corporate and private functions. Fortin also was a liaison to the University's Facilities & Engineering Department, Grounds Crew and Public Safety divisions.

While at Seton Hall, Fortin played four years of baseball for the Pirates and was a Big East Academic All-Star. He played in 109 games and made 74 starts at catcher over his four-year career for the Pirates, batting .259 and drove in 39 runs over his final two seasons. Following graduation, Fortin played for the Rockland Boulders of the CanAm League in the summer of 2017.

The Nashua, N.H. native played four years of varsity baseball and three years of varsity ice hockey for Nashua North High School and was a three-time all-state selection for the Titans on the diamond.

Fortin and his wife, Becca, currently reside in Merrimack, N.H.
