Lea Gaspar was named an assistant coach for the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team in August 2026 and enters her first season in 2026-27.

Gaspar joins the Hawks after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach with the Hopkinton High School girls ice hockey program in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Her additional coaching experience includes times as an assistant coach with Lady Flames Hockey and as a coach with CAN/AM Hockey. With the Lady Flames, Gaspar worked with the U16 team and assisted with practices, bench management and the development of practice and game plans. At CAN/AM Hockey, she coached players ages 12 to 16 during individual and small-group ice sessions while providing evaluations and feedback.

A student-athlete at Worcester State University, Gaspar served as a captain of the women's ice hockey team and earned Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) First Team All-Conference honors as a defender. She was also a member of Worcester State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Honors College. Gaspar graduated from Worcester State in May of 2026 with a Bachelor's degree in Business and a minor in public health.
