Saint Anselm College men's basketball head coach Trey Witter has announced the hiring of Colin Hoffman, as the program's newest assistant coach in July 2026.
Hoffman begins his collegiate coaching career at Saint Anselm after most recently spending the previous five summers as the head coach of Longmeadow High School's summer league basketball team, where the program accumulated a 36-7 record and won the league championship in 2023 and 2024 while finishing runner-up in 2022 and 2021.
Hoffman was a four-year member of the Franklin Pierce baseball team, and during the offseason, he acted as a manager for the Raven's men's basketball team during the 2023-24 season. In his role as team manager, Hoffman supported the coaching staff with film breakdown, scouting analysis, skill development, gameday logistics, and provided administrative and operational support for practices and travel.
Hoffman has also volunteered as a coach and camp counselor at the Brown University Summer Basketball Camp, the Cushing Academy Blue Print Camp, and The Court Summer Camp. Along with his volunteer work, Hoffman held the title of Site Director & Tournament Operations for Basketbull LLC, overseeing AAU basketball tournament sites, assisting with the scheduling, staffing, and merchandise operations of each site.
Hoffman received his bachelor's degree in Sports and Recreation Management with a minor in Sports Media from Franklin Pierce University in May of 2026. The Longmeadow, Mass., native attended Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., where he played baseball and basketball during his postgrad season before enrolling at FPU.
Hoffman's uncles Mike Martin and Colin Tabb are the head men's basketball coaches at Brown University and Western New England University.
