Codi Fitzgerald was promoted to Interim Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in February 2021 after joining the Hawks as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in August 2019. He also oversees the Spagnuolo Fitness Center, the on-campus fitness facility available to the entire Saint Anselm community.
Fitzgerald comes to the Hilltop from former Northeast-10 Conference opponent Merrimack College where he was the Graduate Fellow Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2018-19 academic year. Working with the men’s soccer and women’s tennis programs, Fitzgerald designed and implemented an annual training program and supervised the training sessions.
He spent the 2016-17 season at the University of Maine as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach, overseeing the club men’s and women’s rugby programs along with the ultimate Frisbee sports programs. While also providing secondary responsibilities for the football program, Fitzgerald implemented the club sport training program.
Fitzgerald began his career as a Sports Performance Intern at Maine, co-creating the club sport training program while working with the men’s and women’s ice hockey, football, field hockey and track & field. He also was a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Prentiss Hockey Performance, handling the daily one-on-one and one-on-two training of clients.
Fitzgerald is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holds certifications in Myokinematic Restoration from the Postural Restoration Institute and is a Level 1 Coach through Reflexive Performance Reset.
