Strength & Conditioning Mission Statement

The Saint Anselm College Strength and Conditioning Department strives to have an impact on each student-athlete to help them reach their maximal physical and mental potential, in their desired sport and life.

Strength & Conditioning Core Values

  1.  Communication – Relationships between administration, athletic training, and strength and conditioning are paramount to deliver the best student-athlete experience.
  2. Effort – It will take great effort to achieve victory. We ask athletes give their best effort every training session.
  3. Discipline – Executing tasks that will bring us closer to success. Performing these daily habits will reward freedom in order to better our future selves. Who are you when no one is looking?

Strength & Conditioning Program Principles

  1. Minimizing the Risk of Injury – Reducing the occurrence of injury for our student-athletes so they can keep playing their sport and achieving success.
  2. Mastering the Basics – Learning the fundamental movements and executing them at a high-quality level. Building a foundation that will help us progress into more complex tasks.
  3. Preparation – Implementing training programs that will translate to the athlete’s sport through weight training, energy system development, and building resiliency.
