AT SAINT ANSELM

2023-24:
Competed in four events for the Hawks as a senior…Opened the season at the Shacklette Invitational on Sept. 2 where he navigated the 8k course in 36:18 good for a 32nd place finish…At the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 17 Yapp posted an 8k time of 34:46 in the sub-varsity race…Recorded his best 8k time of the season at the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, registering a time of 33:06.

2022-23: Yapp competed in three meets for Saint Anselm in his junior season...At the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational on September 30th, he posted his best 8k time after crossing the finish line in 31:50.0...Yapp also competed in the NEICAAA Cross Country Championship for the Hawks securing 89th place with a time of  32:32.2...He also competed in two unofficial spring track and field meets racing in the mile event.

2021-22: Made his cross country debut on Sept. 11 at the 39th Annual Shacklette Invitational…Posted career best five-mile and 8k times at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 18 and Oct. 2 (31:58.3, 30:57.6)…Competed in the unofficial spring track & field season in the 5000m and the mile…Posted his top mile time of 5:32.84 at the Merrimack Track Carnival, good for a 15th place finish.

PRIOR TO SAINT ANSELM: 2020 graduate of Nashoba Regional HS...Ran cross country and was a member of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams for the Chieftains...Served as the captain of both the outdoor track and field team and the cross country team...Was a three-time league All-Star selection...Was the program's Most Valuable Team Contributor...Produced a top-three finish at the league championships and a 14th place finish out of 123 varsity runners at the MIAA Division 1 Central Massachusetts Championships, qualifying for the MIAA all-state championship...Was one of just 14 runners to break 17:00 at the MIAA championship race...Was the starting leg of the 2019 Mid Wach B Indoor Championship 4x800 team...Earned high honors for his work in the classroom...Was a repeat Excellence Award recipient...Earned the Boys Team Most Valuable Player award from the Michael Mahon Cross Country Racing Series.
