AT SAINT ANSELM

2022-23: Nelson competed in five of the six meets for the Hawks in his senior season...He placed 21st overall at the 40th Annual Schacklette Cross Country Invitational with a time of 31:55.1...Posted a 29:26.9 for his best 8k time of the season on October 8th at the NEICAAA Cross Country Championship placing 67th out of 91 runners...Finished 90th in the Northeast-10 Cross Country Run Championship after clocking in at 29:27.7.

2021-22: Registered a career-best 8k time of 27:31.7 on Oct. 2 in the Bruce Kirsh Cup, good for a 19th place finish…Also ran in the 39th Annual Shacklette Invitational and the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 11 and Sept. 18…Competed in the unofficial spring track & field season in the mile, 5000m, and the 1500m…Finished 13th at the Merrimack Track Carnival on Apr. 9 with a career-best 17:29.46 in the 5000m.

2019: Competed in all six Hawks races during his freshman campaign…Achieved his best 8K time of the season at the Mass-Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 21, recording a 27:34.13, which helped him to a 75th place finish out of 257 competitors…Earned his season debut at the Shacklette Invitational, where he posted a 29:17.82 time…Captured a 43rd place finish at the Bruce Kirsh Cup after running a 30:15.1 on Sept. 28…Competed in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship and NCAA Division II East Regional.

PRIOR TO SAINT ANSELM: 2019 graduate of Gorham HS...Ran track and field, cross country and played basketball for the Rams...Captained the basketball program for two years...Earned the Ram Award (most dedicated to the team) as a senior...Collected Academic All-Conference honors...Received the Distinguished Athlete Award as a senior...Co-founded and was the assistant coach for the Unified basketball team at Gorham...Recipient of the Daughters of American Revolution Good Citizen Award...Involved in the Interact Club and was a member of the National Honor Society...Served as a volunteer in the Gorham Middle School mentorship program...Achieved perfect attendance for two years.

PERSONAL: Son of Matthew and Neile...Mother, Neile, played basketball and soccer at Saint Joseph's (Maine)...Father, Matthew, was a member of the basketball team at Saint Joseph's (Maine)...Brother of Anna...Elementary Education major.
