HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Saint Anselm started the game with a flurry of scores in the opening two minutes of action. Sullivan along with seniors Isabella Stuzynski (Bedford, Mass.) and Maggie Fitzgerald (Holliston, Mass.) all scored unassisted goals in a 61-second span to put the Hawks ahead, 3-0.
  • After an up-goal by Saint Rose's Katy McPeak, juniors Abigail Christmas (Elmira, N.Y.) and Samantha Rivet (Sudbury, Mass.) got on the scoresheet with consecutive tallies midway through the first quarter, the latter of which was set up by Stuzynski, to make it 5-1.
  • Daria Bock got one back for the Golden Knights, but Fitzgerald and freshman Lucy Mawn (Harwich, Mass.) both scored before the end of the quarter to give Saint Anselm a 7-2 advantage after one period of play. Senior Alison Ferullo (North Andover, Mass.). picked up her first assist of the season on Mawn's goal.
  • Ferullo got in on the scoring with the first goal of the second quarter off a feed by Sullivan, who then scored her second goal of the game just 25 seconds later to increase the Hawks' lead to 9-2.
  • At the 8:21 mark of the second quarter, Kylee Payne scored for Saint Rose. McPeak also added another up-goal for the Golden Knights with 2:20 left in the half, but the Hawks found the back of the net three more times before halftime.
  • Rivet found junior Kendra Sabotka (Rutland, Vt.) for the 10th Saint Anselm score. Ferullo picked up her second of the game once again from Sullivan, while Fitzgerald completed her hat trick with 1:31 remaining in the half, giving Saint Anselm a 12-4 edge at the intermission. It is the third hat trick in the last four games for Fitzgerald.
  • The Hawks rattled off seven consecutive goals in the third quarter to put the game to bed. Rivet notched her second goal of the night while Ferullo clinched the hat trick with her third of the game. Scoring twice in the period was Stuzynski, who also secured the hat trick as did Sullivan, who scored three times in the third including one with two seconds on the clock.

Sophomore Brianna Fruci (Walpole, Mass.) registered her fourth tally of the year with 10:31 remaining for the final Saint Anselm goal.
