Saint Anselm, ranked No. 6 in NCAA Division II, exploded for an eight-goal shutout victory last time out against Saint Michael's, improving to 1-3 overall on the season. Pace recently posted a 2-1 victory in overtime against Bloomsburg, moving to 3-2 on the year.
Saturday's contest is the Northeast-10 Conference opener for both programs.
SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- Against Saint Michael's, the Hawks shattered the program record for assist in a game (nine) and enjoyed a comfortable 28-to-5 edge in shots taken, and as a team, generated 25 points of offense, trailing the all-time record of 26 set against New Haven on Oct. 7, 2017.
- Junior Maddie Davis (Exeter, N.H.) matched a program record with four assists against the Purple Knights.
- Senior Avery Tucker (Westbrook, Maine), junior Shannon Walsh (Chelmsford, Mass.), freshman Millie Forster (Cholmondeley, Cheshire, England), junior Abbey Bevens (Pelham, N.H.) and sophomore Amanda Lewandowski (Franklin, Mass.) created a 5-0 lead for the Hawks.
- Forster, sophomore Grace Michael (Hampton Falls, N.H.), freshman Reese Levansavich (Auburn, Mass.) and freshman Kaitlyn West (Nashua, N.H.) scored their first career goals on Saturday, with the latter trio rounding out the second half by scoring.
- The Hawks have won 31 of the last 35 games played at Grappone Stadium since the start of the 2018 season. Carolyn King-Robitaille, in the midst of her 11th season as Head Coach at Saint Anselm has won 120 games with just 61 losses (.663) in her tenure on the Hilltop.
SCOUTING THE SETTERS
- Freshman Tavia Flecksteiner scored a goal just 52 seconds into overtime, sending Pace to its third victory of the 2022 campaign. The Setters trailed by a 1-0 margin until the fourth quarter when Eveline Bussemaker scored the game-tying goal to set up overtime.
- Pace eliminated Saint Anselm from the NE10 postseason in 2021, picking up a 1-0 victory over the Hawks at Grappone Stadium on Nov. 1. Then-freshman Krista Dietz scored her league-leading 20th goal in the 55th minute, stunning Saint Anselm on its own field.
- Pace was projected to finish fifth in the NE10 Preseason Coaches' Poll revealed in mid-August. The Setters finished last season with 14 wins in 20 games and compiled 10 wins in 14 games against NE10 competition.

- Saint Anselm leads the all-time series against Pace, 5-3.
- Three of the five wins against Pace have come in overtime since the first all-time meeting on Sept. 19, 2015.
