No. 9-ranked Saint Anselm looks to rebound from a tough 1-0 loss at home against Adelphi on Saturday, Oct. 1. The Hawks had won their last two games via shutout entering the contest, but the Panthers scored an overtime game-winner on their lone shot on net of the game.

Saint Michael's carries a 1-6 record into play with one of those losses coming to Saint Anselm in non-league play on Saturday, Sept. 17. In that contest, the Hawks picked up an 8-0 win with junior Maddie Davis (Exeter, N.H.) matching a program record with four assists.

Prior to the team's Wednesday match against Mercy (N.Y.), Southern Connecticut State has posted an overall record of 3-4 and 2-1 in league play. After opening the year with three consecutive losses, the Owls have turned their season around with three wins in their last four matches.

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM

  • In the overtime loss to Adelphi, the Hawks overwhelmed the Panthers with 18 of the game's 22 shot attempts, limiting Adelphi to just one shot on goal. However, the visitors converted on that chance as Kaylee Deleva, the reigning NE10 Player of the Year, put home a rebound attempt just 4:33 into overtime to end the game.
  • In the game against the Panthers, Hawks netminder Mackenzie McConnell (Concord Township, Maine) saw her (and her team's) shutout streak end at 202:58 with the overtime tally. Saint Anselm does, however, carry an active road shutout streak of 78:30.
  • The Hawks have won 31 of the last 35 games played at Grappone Stadium since the start of the 2018 season. Carolyn King-Robitaille, in the midst of her 11th season as Head Coach at Saint Anselm has won 121 games with just 62 losses (.661) in her tenure on the Hilltop.

SCOUTING SAINT MICHAEL'S

  • The team secured its lone victory of the season at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The Purple Knights built a 3-1 lead through the game's first 51 minutes and settled for a 3-2 victory against the Ravens.

  • Last time out, the Purple Knights fell at No. 9 Assumption by a 1-0 score in Worcester. Riley O'Connor made 10 saves for Saint Michael's and allowed just one goal, a third-period marker. In total, six of the past seven games between Assumption and Saint Michael's were decided by a single goal.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE

  • Last season, SCSU posted an overall record of 3-14 with a 3-11 mark against NE10 opponents. The three wins came against Franklin Pierce, Mercy (N.Y.) and Molloy.
