Klaus and Scavotto helped lead Saint Anselm to an opening-weekend sweep of Sacred Heart University last weekend. The Hawks downed the Pioneers in overtime, 2-1, on Friday evening before posting a 4-0 shutout the next day.

Klaus had two goals, inlcuding the game-winner early in overtime, and an assist from the blue line for Saint Anselm. The sophomore added an assist to her game-winning tally on Friday and scored again on Saturday for the Hawks. Her play in defense also helped Saint Anselm limit the Pioneers to a single goal over the two games (0.49 GAA).

Scavotto picked up the win in both games and recorded a 0.49 goals-against average and .971 save percentage on the weekend. The junior made 19 saves on Friday evening before stopping all 14 shots she faced for her ninth-career shutout in a 4-0 triumph on Saturday.

After an exhibition contest at Norwich University on Tuesday, Oct. 24, Saint Anselm travels to UMass Boston for a 1 p.m. start on Saturday, Oct. 28.
