NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Saint Anselm College men's cross country team placed 27th at the National Catholic Invitational hosted by the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.

Current Northeast-10 Conference Runner of the Week Nate Shannon (Waterbury, Conn.) led the Hawks with a 124th place finish, posting a time of 29:26.1 in the 8K race. Anthony Galasso (Reading, Mass.) finished 135th, completing the race in 29:50.7, while Adam Pakalnis (Waterbury, Conn.) was 164th with a time of 31:33.8.
Joe Moran (Manchester, N.H.) posted a time of 32:41.5 to finish 177th, with Brian Stankiewicz (Merrimack, N.H.) finishing 182nd with a time of 33:17.8. Timothy Stap (Windham, N.H.) and Joseph Capuzzo (Orange, Mass.) rounded out the race for Saint Anselm with times of 35:08.1 and 39:16.9, respectively.
The Hawks return to action next Saturday when they travel to Williams College for the Purple Valley Classic.
