COLCHESTER, Vt. – Julie LeClair hit two home runs, Pattie Turner added another and Arika Brochu tossed a three-hit shutout as the Saint Anselm College softball team rolled past Saint Michael's 14-0 on Sunday afternoon at Doc Jacobs Field.

Box Score

Saint Anselm (12-22, 8-13 NE-10) set season-highs in runs (14) and hits (17) in the win to sweep the three-game regular-season series with Saint Michael's (3-26, 2-17 NE-10). Seven Hawks had multi-hit games, led by freshman Jordon O'Connor, who was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

The Hawks got on the board right away in the top of the first on LeClair's first home run of the game, which came with Turner and Amanda Bickford aboard. Megan Murrell tacked on a run in the second by driving in O'Connor with two away to make it 4-0.

LeClair led off the third with her second home run of the game and fifth of the season, sending a solo shot over the right-field fence. Shannon McLaughlin doubled with one out and came around to score on a ground-rule double by O'Connor with two away for the second run of the inning.

With a 6-0 lead, the Hawks put up eight more runs in the fourth for the team's highest-scoring inning of the season. Turner hit a two-run home run, her team-best eighth of the season, to score Murrell with one out.

Later in the inning, Saint Anselm tallied five consecutive hits, scoring runs on singles by Emily Barrett, O'Connor and Bickford before a two-run single by Emily Crannell. Saint Michael's also committed three errors in the inning, leading to an unearned run.

Meanwhile, Brochu allowed just three hits and one walk in the five-inning complete game to improve to 8-10 this season. The freshman stranded two runners in the first and got a 5-1-3 double play in the fourth to escape a jam with runners on second and third and one out.

O'Connor's three hits were a career-high for the freshman and six others had two hits, as Michaela Criscione joined Bickford, Murrell, Turner, LeClair and McLaughlin with two hits.

The Hawks, winners of three-straight games, host Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday, April 19 for a single game at 3:30 p.m. at South Athletic Fields before closing the regular season at Assumption on Friday and Saturday, April 22-23.
