Box Score
Four different players accounted for the four Saint Anselm (2-0-0, 2-0-0 NEHC) goals on the evening as the Hawks outshot UMass Boston (2-1-0, 0-1-0 NEHC) by a 42-15 margin in the game. Sara McNamara, Kaitlyn Spillane, Alex Starzyk and Alison Quinn each netted a goal for Saint Anselm.
After a scoreless first period, the Hawks got on the board early in the second when McNamara jammed home a rebound after a Jackie Guy shot was blocked at the 3:26 mark for her first goal of the year.
A little over four minutes later, Spillane doubled the Hawks' lead by bullying her way to the front of the net and slotting home off an assist from Allison Butler at 7:44 of the second.
Starzyk capped the three-goal third at 14:04 by driving to the front of the net and firing a shot that Rachel Myette got a piece of but couldn't stop the puck from trickling over the line. Butler earned her second assist of the night and team-best third of the year on Starzyk's second goal in as many games.
Quinn found the back of the net for the first time on the season at 4:57 of the third period to close the scoring. The senior was on hand to tap in a loose puck after Myette saved close-range shots from Quinn and McNamara in quick succession.

After shots were even 9-9 in the first period, Saint Anselm outshot UMass Boston 33-6 over the final 40 minutes. The Hawks were 1-for-5 on the power play and held the Beacons off the board on five chances.
