MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshmen Robert Patenaude (Augusta, Maine) and Alex Pearson (Kennebunk, Maine) captured their No. 3 doubles match, but the Saint Anselm College men's tennis team dropped Thursday afternoon's 8-1 decision to Merrimack College at the Carr Center.
The Hawks fall to 1-7 on the season and in Northeast-10 play, while the Warriors improve to 7-5, 6-0 NE-10.
Patenaude and Pearson teamed up for an 8-5 victory against Frank Vega and Nick Majewski.
The Hawks return to action Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m. when they play host to the University of the Sciences in non-conference action at Carr.
