PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Sophomore Sarah Geisinger (Willoughby, Ohio) scored a goal alongside two assists as the Saint Anselm College women's ice hockey team took down Plymouth State University, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at Hanaway Rink.
With the win, Saint Anselm cruises to its seventh straight victory with a 22-3-0 overall record and 14-2-0 stance in the ECAC Women's East, while the Panthers drop to 5-18-2, 3-11-2 ECAC East.
The Hawks got things started 11:44 into the first when freshman Alexandra Starzyk (Enfield, Conn.) connected with a pass from Geisinger and put the Hawks on the board. Junior Franny Nicholson (St. Paul, Minn.) was also assisting on the Hawks' first goal of the game.

Finishing the Plymouth three-goal rally was Meghan Cassidy, who beat Saint Anselm freshman goaltender Hannah Synnott (Montclair, N.J.) at 13:15.
In the third period, it would be the Hawks' turn for a three-goal rally of their own, which Geisinger started just one minute into the frame. Geisinger picked up the puck from Starzyk and snuck it past Plymouth State netminder Ali Pointe, putting the Hawks within one at 3-2.
Just over nine minutes later, junior Tiffany Herron (Clinton Township, Mich.) utilized a pair of passes from sophomore Halle Kent (Lake Placid, N.Y.) and Geisinger to knot the game at three apiece.
With 3:17 left in the game, freshman Alison Butler (Danvers, Mass.) potted her eighth goal of the season, to give the Hawks the lead at 4-3. Freshman Alison Quinn (Canton, Mass.) and sophomore Nina Gozzi (Suffield, Conn.) were each assisting on the game-winning goal.
Synnott made six saves in the first 33:15 in net, while junior goaltender Lindsey Brown (Mounds View, Minn.) stopped all five shots she faced in the final 26:45 to earn the win. Pointe stopped 31 of 35 shots on goal for the Panthers. Overall, the Hawks held a 35-14 shot advantage.
