RINDGE, N.H. - Freshman Julie LeClair (Taunton, Mass.) and junior Nicole Boucher (Woonsocket, R.I.) pounded out six and five hits, respectively, as the Saint Anselm College softball team gained a pair of shutout victories over Franklin Pierce University with scores of 3-0 and 13-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

In game one, Boucher went 2-for-4 with a homerun, while LeClair ripped two hits, including a triple. Monique Gauthier (Canton, Mass.) knocked in a pair of runs via two sacrifice flies.

Tayla Trask (Lincoln, Maine) earned the win only giving up two hits and striking out four as she improves to 8-8 on the season.

In the second game of the double header, Saint Anselm's offense exploded as eight different batters contributed a hit, including four with multiple hits, resulting in the 13-0 win.

Boucher went 3-for-5 with a grand slam, while LeClair had four hits over four at bats with two doubles and three RBI. Gauthier also chipped in a two-run homerun in the first inning.

Olivia Story (Middleton, Mass.) had an RBI double in the second and Hannah Byrne (Lynn, Mass.) singled in the top of the sixth, driving in two runs.

Hawk pitcher Paige Cormier (Rochester, N.H.) jumped above.500 with the win (6-5), earning three strikeouts to her credit.
