MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Alex Schultheis (Cranston, R.I.) and juniors Joseph Zucchi (Methuen, Mass.) and Michael Hanna (Southborough, Mass.) each won singles matches, but the Saint Anselm College men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday afternoon at the Saint Anselm Outdoor Tennis Courts.
The Hawks drop to 2-7 on the season, including 1-7 in Northeast-10 play, while the Ravens improve to 2-5, 1-5 NE-10.
Schultheis defeated Christopher Brewer in No. 2 singles action, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).
Zucchi beat Sam Aubin, 6-1, 6-2, in No. 3 singles, while Hanna earned a No. 5 singles victory against Tyler Colombo, 2-6, 6-4, 10-8 (1-0).
The Hawks return to action Wednesday, April 4 at 3:30 p.m. when they play host to Saint Michael's College.
