Senior Kayla McEachern (Stoneham, Mass.) followed by drawing a walk to drive in the game's first run.
Southern Connecticut tied with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth and the game would remain tied at one for the next four innings.
After senior Raylyn Glavin (Saugus, Mass.) was placed on second in the top of 10th and sacrificed over to third by McEachern, Scafidi followed with a single to left-center that snapped the 1-1 tie.
Dalton induced a pair of popups in the bottom of the 10th after the Owls' placed runner was bunted over to third.

The go-ahead single was Scafidi's only hit of the game as she finished 1-for-4. Galavotti was 2-for-4, while Crowley went 2-for-3.
After Southern Connecticut went out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning of game two, the Hawks tied it in the second when Trafton, who singled to right, came around to score on an error. The Owls responded with four runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a 5-1 lead. They would add another run in the fifth to make it 6-1.
