RINDGE, N.H. – Freshman Biffy Grout (Milton, Vt.) notched her first collegiate goal, but the Saint Anselm College field hockey team fell to Franklin Pierce University, 3-1, Tuesday afternoon at Sodexo Field.

The Hawks drop to 3-8 on the season, including 1-4 in Northeast-10 play, while the Ravens improve to 5-6, 2-1.

Franklin Pierce went on top, 1-0, in the 20th minute when Tia Levins tipped in a shot past junior goalkeeper Megan Sullivan (Braintree, Mass.).

The Ravens doubled their lead 2:42 before the break when Lauren L'Heureux scored on another deflection off a shot from the top of circle.

FPU added to its lead again when Levins put a one-timer into the back of the cage in the 55th minute to make it 3-0. The goal gave Levins the Raven's all-time goals scored record.

Grout put Saint Anselm on the board in the 60th minute, finishing a 2-on-1 at the left post off a feed from junior Kristina Katsikis (Hanover, Mass.) that made it 3-1.

Sullivan stopped three shots during 59:29 of action, while freshman Jessica Snow (Shrewsbury, Mass.) made a save as she saw the final 10:31 of the contest. Franklin Pierce goalkeeper Brittany Nyzio made three saves.
